Wed, 11 Nov 2009 by Emily Mace

There is more to the SEO work you are doing than getting organic listings in the SERPs.  The below 3 tips are things you can do to appear in not just the organic listings but also taking advantage

Local Listings/Google Maps

Local listings can be done in both Bing and Google to help your business show up for search terms that contain a local place name as well as a keyword.  More and more business are taking advantage of local listings in Google and Bing, as these can drive traffic to your website as well as the natural listings.

Google Shopping Results

Google Base allows you to upload your products to Google to allow them to show up under Google Shopping Results this can be a great way to get people directly onto your product pages on your website and shows them that you are local to them, which can be important when people are looking at interacting with products before buying them called ROTOBO or research online, touch offline and buy online

Image Optimisation

Image Optimisation can provide another way of getting information showing up in the SERPs for your website.  Google Image search results often show up in the natural listings and the same is true in Bing and Yahoo! So as these results become more prominent in the SERPs optimising your images can also help to drive visitors to your website.

When you are optimising your website, consider these additional methods of driving traffic to your website.
