A tip to see if you need to change your SEO Company

If you are already working with an SEO Company you might want to look at the level of service you are being offered by them.

SEO is an important part of promoting your business online and generating more sales for your company.  So, it’s really important to know what is going on with your site, and what any third party companies are doing on your behalf.

A good SEO company will be happy to share knowledge and teach you about the SEO process, explaining what they are recommending and why.

When making recommendations about changes to your site make sure that your SEO company is happy to explain the reason behind the changes they are suggesting.  An SEO company that is worth working with won’t lead you to believe SEO is a black art only they can understand and will be happy to share the reasons behind changes and recommendations with you.

Making sure you understand what your SEO Company is doing on your behalf is important to your business.  If an SEO company is practising black-hat SEO techniques on your site you could find yourself being penalised by the big search engines and the last thing your business needs is to lose visibility on Google, Yahoo and MSN.

So, when your SEO company sends you recommendations for your site, look into what they are suggesting and if you don’t understand it – ask them why they have asked for these changes.

A good SEO company will provide more to your company than a monthly report of current positions on search engines and unexplained changes to your site.

If your SEO company is not happy to answer such questions or discuss SEO techniques with you, maybe it’s time to move to another SEO company.
