Converting your website – it’s about the personality of your site

Getting conversions on your website is important to ensuring all your SEO and marketing effort is worthwhile.  However as I’ve mentioned before when talking about conversions, the one area that has an impact on the number of sales or sign ups you get to your site, is the look and feel of your site.  
Here are some things to consider when looking at your site:
Does your website talk to your target market?
 
If you are aiming at a business market are you using professional language to talk to your users?  If you are selling technical products to consumers are you talking to them in a way they will understand or blinding them with science?
 
If you are dealing with a younger audience make sure your site uses langage appropriate to them.  
 
Make sure your site pays attention to traditions appropriate for your target market.
 
Tone of voice is important to your users when making a decision, if you feel you are being lectured would you buy? I know I wouldn’t!
Who do you talk about?
 
Do you talk about yourself and your services or do you talk about your customers and what benefits they will get from your services?  Talking about yourself doesn’t leave a visitor with a clear idea of what they will get, but talking about them and how your products will benefit th
