Getting more from Google’s Webmaster tools
24th February 2009 by Emily Mace
We posted a lot last year about Google Webmaster tools and the SEO benefits of using this set of tools to see how your site is being seen and indexed by Google.
Well, Google announced yesterday that they have launched a YouTube channel to make their videos on getting the most from Google Webmaster Tools and general Google updates available in an easy to find location.
Videos currently on the YouTube channel include:
Matt Cutts – state of the index – Matt Cutts talking about where Google are going in 2009 including more communication with webmasters.
Their 5 part video series Google for Webmasters Tutorial including videos covering:
- How Google Discovers your website
- How Google Crawls and Indexes your Website
- How Google Ranks websites and how their appear in the SERPs
- Introduction to Google Webmaster Tools
- Other useful website tools
As we’ve discussed already Google Webmaster Tools give you access to information about you’re website’s visibility, sitemap errors, a review of your robots file and any issues with duplicate title tags and meta descriptions.
I use Google Webmaster Tools for all of my SEO campaigns, so why not view some of their YouTube videos and see how you can get the most out of Google Webmaster Tools for your website.
