URL Update in Google This week sees the release of yet another change to the Google Adwords system. This is one of the main reasons that many advertisers use PPC Management companies to keep close tabs on their accounts. As well as the obvious day to day management and producing the required results, all of the changes to Google’s requirements need to adhered to and fast. If you manage your own Pay Per Click Campaigns and you don’t check in everyday you may miss one of these new changes and you ads may stop showing periodically until such time has arisen that you change them so beware and keep tabs on your account…. The new implementation from Google sees a change in the way that Display URL can be used. Before now you could use many Visible Display URL’s within one Ad Group leading toward the same Destination URL. Google have now made the decision to disallow multiple display URL domains within any 1 ad group. This means that all URL’s within an Ad Group must have the same top-level domain. This new algorithm is passed in an effort to provide the most relevant results and yield a much higher user experience. Below is an example of what can and can’t be used under the new rule…. These URL’s all Comply…
These URL’s in the same group do not comply…
If you haven’t already please go and check your Adwords account before your ads become paused………
