Google Trends Embeddable Gadget Launches – With Some Bugs

I got excited about the Google Trends gadget, launched today on the official Google Blog after all, that is a great concept – to be able to have customised Trends graphs on your website.

However, there seems to be a bit of a problem with some sort of country detection. When I go to the URL http://www.google.com/landing/trendsgadget/ (whether logged in or logged out, and in different browsers), all the text is not in English. I think it might be Dutch; certainly the country names are pretty difficult for me to distinguish.

What is perhaps more amusing is that this Dutch blog evidently gets the drop down etc. in English.

If I embed the code into another page, I still get the language issue. It seems to be linked to this office, because my colleagues can see the same.
