New Year brings new Pay Per Click Campaign Strategies

Offline Call to actions to Drive Search. New for 2009

The world of Pay Per Click Advertising is constantly being updated and refreshed with new ideas, algorithms and key metrics that "we all should be adhering to" There are lots of whispers out there of new concepts coming to the market ( to which I can only imagine that about 40% will actually become a reality).

Don’t fret too much and keep in touch with our blogs as we will airing our laundry on all of these ideas.

The newest idea that has come to my attention is the world of Offline Call to actions to Drive Search traffic to sites. If you cast your mind back an advocate of this process was Orange with their "I am" campaign.

Basically the whole Pay Par Click Advertising universe is becoming saturated as more and more advertisers are opening their eyes and seeing the benefits of advertising online. Companies who have had long standing PPC Campaigns are realising new measures are needed to separate them from other advertisers, hence, Offline Call to actions.

Some companies are using their offline advertising (TV, Radio and Paper) campaigns to encourage searchers to find them Online via specific keyword searches. This process results in cheap clicks away from the rest of the pack. I have just had a Eureka moment as an example……..

If say you were in the Credit, Finance sector and are running a Pay Per Click Campaign you know by now have expensive keywords are and how much time it takes making sure you are only paying for those clicks that are really interested. In this instance a TV ad could be set up encouraging people to type the keywords "Fine Ants" and have a marketing campaign with a TV ad of ants cleverly delivering mortgages or Credit Cards in a line as they were returning from a picnic. (An idea that could go on and on but feel free to contact me to see how it ends..Ha!)

The keyword "Fine Ants" would only cost the advertiser pennies to get that traffic to the site, and would also separate them from all those PPC people bidding on the keyword Finance or Credit Cards etc. After all, a clever slogan or keyword is easier to remember than a long 0845 number.

Remember Think outside the box and "be online for 2009"
