Pay Per Click – Online in 2009
2008 Now seems like a distant memory. Decorations packed away the tree disposed of and resolutions have been made for what is set to be a busy year in the Pay Per Click advertising world.
Although the New Year brings about the start for a lot of things, PPC campaigns need a little more thought than just new year new campaign. It is however a good time of year to kick start some all important makeovers to campaigns. It is good to realise that we are now into the quiet period; so any large changes to campaigns need to done now to avoid too much loss.
I have listed just a few tips for you to take note of and diarise future tweaks.
The first thing in your diary is to think back! Do you have any Christmas ads running within your PPC campaigns? If so get them changed ASAP hopefully this will have been done already but it is worth a check.
Check Budgets and ad Scheduling. Did you increase budgets and ad times online for the busy period and need to change back to something that will be more suited to your business?
Create new ads for 2009 think winter/spring sales, remember offers, off, these all are attractive prospects after the most expensive time of year has just past us by.
Out with the old in with the new. This should be an ongoing annual event but if you have been packing and sending all those Christmas orders and lost track over the last month remember, Optimize! Lose keywords that don’t drive relevant traffic or if they drive tons of traffic but little in the way of conversions. Replace these with new keyword and ad trials for Jan.
With the Search Engine Marketing world being so progressive you need to be ahead of the game. Start thinking dates f
