Actually this tip probably applies to any supplier not just SEO agencies – particularly if you want to verify claims that are made on the company’s web site.
Google is slowly expanding its StreetView feature within Google Maps. Google have cars (sometimes bikes) driven around cities and towns with large cameras mounted on the roof and take 360 degree images of just about everything. These images are then linked into Google Maps. It hasn’t been implemented fully around the UK yet, but the coverage is growing.
The other day, I was looking at various web sites from companies that were offering SEO services. Some of these companies were making some pretty bold claims of staff size, customer base, number of offices, etc. Out ofcuriosity, I started to look at the addresses for a few companies in Google and was particularly interested in their StreetView image.
Here’s a few images (no names) – but each web site made some impressive claims of experience, team size, international/multiple offices etc.
StreetView is not currently covering Portsmouth, but for the record – here’s our current office.. and the office we are moving to in September (we can’t wait).
