Update: Blogger FTP broken?

Last Friday I posted an item about Blogger’s FTP connection appearing broken, where any updates would hang and the blog could not be updated. Although not an SEO issue it’s worthy of comment as so many people use it for company blogs.

It appears that the root of the problem was a change of IPs used by Blogger. When they change IP your FTP connection can become defunct if your host doesn’t recognise it.

The new Blogger IP addresses are:
74.125.66.132
74.125.112.132

According to blogging.nitecruzr.net there is no evidence whether these new IPs are additional, or if they replace any of those from the current selection:
66.102.15.83
216.34.7.186
64.233.166.192-207
64.233.178.192-207

It is a bit strange that these changes aren’t publicised better, but on the flip-side we do have a community that is alive and well.
