Not much has changed in the recruitment industry in regards to how competitive it is. If anything, there are even more players in the market, with a smaller pool of applicants. It continues to be an increasingly competitive market and each company needs to be ahead of the rest.
It is really refreshing to see recruitment agencies are starting to find new and innovative ways of dominating the market, through search engine optimisation SEO. With the traditional forms of newspaper advertising not working as it once did and the growing number of searches on search engines, I guess it makes complete sense that this is where they are turning. As we know, you will find a lot of English recruiters here in Australia, starting their own boutique agencies. These guys have a grasp on the search market and have an understanding of the need and just where it can position their business should they be the first and dominate search results.
With 87% of all web traffic originating from search engines and 66% of searchers believing companies at the top of the search request are the top companies in their field, no wonder recruiters are turning to SEO.
