Cheap PPC Management Abroad

NO NO NO don’t do it……

I have been looking into this in depth recently after a new client said to me that until moving over to Vertical-Leap his PPC Campaigns were being managed by a firm in India. After asking the question why? to him I thought I would do some research of my own into to what entices people to get managed abroad and why some move away from the UK market to get this done.

The answer is Money! The biggest saving I managed to find was of 500% now why would you not go for this with both hands out? After all these guys are offering Keyword Research, Lower CPA’s, Better CTR’s and a dedicated account manager… All of which  is the same general sales patter that most follow to win you over so why not go for the cheap option and spend the excess on your Google Adwords Spend.

Let me tell you why! Whilst I do agree with outsourcing work to other countries to get the most for your dollar (how many times have you been redirected to a call centre in Mumbai to get your broadband fixed?) How can remote companies have a really good knowledge of your market in your country and colloquialisms people use to find y0ur products and services. I would never profess to be able to run a PPC Campaign for a company in Uzbekistan as well as an agency from there no matter how good my Uzbekistani is to date. There is also the time difference to come into play with this. With UK/European campaigns being run remotely from China are these guys up at 2 am when your campaign is just starting out and hitting the market thatyou are targeting and making your ROI from?

The PPC business is saturated with time consuming data entry and processing on a day to day basis which is why most people now have their campaigns managed so they can concentrate on what they do best. Whilst I see the logic in seeking help with data entry and processing techniques I strongly believe that management and overall day to day tweaks and optimization needs to be carried out by honest, local campaign delivery managers that also understand your business and marketplace.

So please just take a minute to think hard about your PPC campaign and choose the right agency for you and remember Cheap does not mean Better! More often than not you will get the service you pay for!
