2010 has been a very busy year so far and we are only just entering day 22 of the first month. For this reason alone I have not been able to comment and add to many of my own thoughts and rants on the PPC/Search marketing world at the moment which led me to this post. Here I wanted to give you a couple of hints and tools that you may find useful in the world of PPC to alleviate some of your precious time.
Focus for January in our world of paid search leans toward sales and updating prices for 2010, however we also need to be thinking ahead to valentines offers for specific markets and new ranges/services starting after old stock/ideas have been spent. Therefore changes need to be enmasse and quick. o my first tool for you is
The Adwords Wrapper This is a must have for all ppc campaigns. It is simple to use and saves so much time. This tool simply allows you too add a keyword list and then wraps the text to Phrase and/or exact match for you..it will even create a negative list. Goodbye Spreadsheets and concatenating.
Adwords Editor This is a free download available from Google which allows you to upload an adwords account and make many changes at once and then post to your campaign. As an agency marketer this tool is like a football to Beckham and is utilised daily as part of or optimizing of campaigns. The editor is also very useful for individuals who are short on time finding and individually changing each ad or cpc.
Preview Tool This allows advertisers utilising the Adwords system to see if their ads are being delivered/served for specific terms and and in what positions without searching live in a Google search.
Traffic Estimator This tool will allow you to add keywords and see what types of numbers and cost are involved in the key-phrases, although this is a useful tool it can only be taken as guesstimates but still useful nonetheless.
Keyword Tool This tool speaks for itself and will help you to create a new keyword list.
Although these tools are very useful and can save you much needed time throughout your busy day they can only be used as aids and in my experience as additions to the human touch……after all a tool has to be programmed by someone which can take up time too….
So the real answer is to get your PPC managed in 2010
