Google are continuing to make PPC advertisers mouths water with the release of their latest PPC beta functionality known as ‘Contact Form Extensions’.
PPC Hero’s latest blog provides further detail on this latest beta release and 2010 looks bright for PPC advertisers.
Contact form extensions provide a plusbox (similar to product extensions) that when clicked provides the user with a contact form and a selection of contact fields.

Once the form has been filled in and submitted, Google will send the advertiser an email with the requested information and a lead ID number.
The advertiser then must call a Google hotline and enter their lead ID to be directed to the prospect who filled in the contact form.
Currently this beta functionality will only display the contact form extensions plusbox on ads in the 1st position. Only telephone leads are currently being accepted in the beta testing program however live chat and email leads look to follow soon. Advertisers will be required to pay a maximum CPC per telephone lead.
This beta test program is only available to a select number of US advertisers however we look forward to see how this functionality develops over the upcoming months.
