Google Webmaster Tools recently added a new feature that allows you to give access to multiple users on your site’s Webmaster Tools account.
This is really useful if you want to give more than one person access. Now you can easily give your SEO agency, webmaster, developers or boss access to all your site’s data. All without uploading multiple verification files or meta-tags.
So how do you add new users to your website’s account? It’s simple, but hard to find on first glance. So here’s how…
1. Go to the Google Webmaster Tools home screen. Then choose Verified for the site profile you want to add users to.
2. Choose Add a user…
And that’s it. Done. Google say that you just need to make sure that each person you add has a Google Account.
However, so far we’ve only found it works with accounts associated with Gmail accounts (user@gmail.com or user@googlemail.com). Hopefully, this is just a temporary issue.
