Yahoo!’s search engine marketing team has delivered a new update on the ongoing integration of Microsoft’s PPC platform, AdCentre, into the Yahoo! search marketing platform.
In the previous update, Yahoo assured search engine marketing companies and PPC agencies that the transition from the existing platform to the new arrangement will be completed before the start of the 2010 holiday season, so that advertisers and retailers can take advantage of the festive spike. To date, these updates have only applied to the US and Canadian search markets, with no given date for other regions and national markets.
This latest update repeats this promise and notifies advertisers that there will be a period of several weeks for advertisers to make the transition from Yahoo Search Marketing to AdCentre. It also reassures advertisers that any remaining balance in the sponsored search account will be transferred across when the transition tool becomes available, or refunded via cheque if so desired.
“Over the next several months, we’ll provide you with more specifics on the actual transition timing and we’ll give you plenty of notice before any action is required on your part,” says Yahoo. “Once the transition window has opened and the account transition tool is available, you’ll be able to initiate your transition anytime within the window for maximum convenience.”
