Consumers are more likely to respond to content marketing than other forms of online marketing, according to a study in America.
The best platform for marketing comes from messages that mention brand names in articles, according to the study by the Opinion Research Corporation.
It found that this kind of content marketing generates more of a response than banner or pop-up adverts, email offers and sponsored links.
Almost 70% of the people asked said they were “very likely” or “somewhat likely” to act upon article-based advertising.
It’s expected this study will inspire even more people to include content marketing in their online marketing activities. This term refers to writing content which engages potential and existing customers. It’s part of the idea that providing high-quality, relevant and valuable information to prospects and customers will influence their consumer actions. Depending on the type of content written, it can help a company improve brand loyalty or retain reader attention much better than traditional marketing methods.
Content marketing comes in the form of custom magazines, newsletters, website posts, white papers and pod casts, amongst other methods. It has another benefit too; writing and publishing regular articles also benefits search engine optimisation activity. That’s because regularly updating your site boosts your SEO.
The study also reported an increase in the number of people saying they would respond to email offers, search engine links, banner ads and pop-up ads, however, they weren’t as popular as “articles that include brand information”.
