Google have this week launched Instant Previews for their Adwords adverts in the USA.
Users who wish to preview a website that a PPC advert links to can now do so by clicking a small magnifying glass logo next to the link.
The launch will come as great news to users of pay per click marketing as they will now be able to showcase a preview of their webpage without being charged by Google.
It is also thought that the move will increase conversion rates for all PPC users as those who go on to visit the website are likely to be more qualified to invest in its services.
PPC expert Chris Crum says that Instant Previews for Ads will increase the importance of having a well-designed webpage.
Writing for WebProNews, he said: “Landing pages are obviously very important to the conversion process, so if you didn’t have an effective landing page to begin with, you weren’t going to have much luck in your search marketing.
“The Instant Previews should only serve to emphasize that very fact.”
Instant Previews were introduced for search results back in November and can assist users by highlighting content relevant to their search.
Search Engine Watch predict that Instant Previews for Ads should be available internationally over the next few weeks.
