Suite 101 focuses SEO aspect of its content generation

Suite 101, the popular content generation site, is increasing its focus on SEO strategies with a new hire and the creation of a writers knowledge-base.

The website’s unique content marketing strategy heavily relies upon search. Writers are paid based on revenue share, correlated by the number of unique impressions each article on the site attracts. As the site covers a wide variety of topics, many people come to view Suite101 articles via search.

Now the site is making a focused attempt to bring search engine optimisation into its content generation guidelines.

“Making sure well-written articles get found online involves continuous hard work and search engine knowledge” said Peter Berger, CEO and president of Suite 101 Media Inc, commenting on the company’s new hire.

Aaron Bradly, who has provided SEO services for major internet retailers in the past, was hired by Suite 101 to fill the new position of SEO director.

“Aaron is a respected expert in this area and he’s also a teacher” said Berger. “It’s a huge plus for writers to have an in-house expert resource who can share what they know with our writers and editors, whilst also making sure that our sites are architecturally sound.”

Suite101, to many people, is a pioneer of content marketing in the digital landscape. According to Search Engine Watch, the site only accepts 20% of submissions and focuses on quantity rather than quality.
