We've always had some great technology at Vertical Leap - like Apollo, our integrated campaign management system - but we realised that we are not doing enough to share.. and so here are a few tools that may help you with your own SEO and search engine marketing efforts.  Although the list is currently small, we plan to add more over the coming months - hopefully providing either something completely new or at least a new twist on a tool that may exist elsewhere.

SEO Tools

 

Broken Links Report
Enter your details (email and web site) and our server will check up to 1,000 of your links to make sure that they are all still valid and that the search engine's will be able to spider your site effectively.  A report will then be emailed to you.
 

Outbound (External) Links Report
Enter your details (email and web site) and our server will index all the outbound (external) links it finds on your site.  A report will then be emailed to you.
 

Site Relevance Test
Enter the details of a web site and related keywords and our server will check to make sure that it is considered relevant (great for ensuring the link partners are relevant).
 

Geographical Location of Web Site (Geolocation)
Want to know where a web site is physically hosted in the world?  Use this tool to find out where a site is geographically located and show it on a map.  Useful when you are targeting regional search engines, local search, and when evaluating link partners.
 

SEO Keyword Game
A fun example of how different people will use different keywords to search for what may seem like a more obvious choice to someone else.  It clearly shows the challenges in basing keyword research on your own set of keyword assumptions and highlights some long tail alternatives.

This is just a little bit of fun - test your SEO industry knowledge and see how you compare to the others who have taken the same test!
